Tilo Heinrich studied arranging, classical percussion and jazz drum set at the Kronach Music Conservatory and at Berklee College of Music in Boston, U.S..

Master classes with Claire Fisher, Arif Mardin, Billy Joel, Manhattan Transfer and Michael Kamen.

Besides his extended work as an orchestrator, he also composed and arranged for Phil Wilson, Herb Pomeroy and the NDR Big Band.

He has performed in various musical settings and genres, including engagements with the New England Philharmonic Orchestra and the Boston Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra.

He’s author of the book “Solobuch für Drums” and a lecturer at University of Performing Arts in Munich.
